Hippy night

Martha had to create an outfit for her daughter Claudia today as her end of term dance was on, and she needed to dress up as a hippy. Lucky for Claudia, the fabrics in the stash included some "hippy" fabrics, and with some jeans cut off, a cool outfit was made in a couple of hours. Headband and all.

I'll be sure to get a photo of Miss Claudia dressed up in her swanky get-up and post that soon. I'm sure she looked the part, and posed accordingly.

PJ Shorts

Martha hates to have left over fabric in her stash, it drives her nuts. Unlike me who has fabric squeezing out the windows and doors of my house, Martha does not. She uses everything wisely....I wish I was like that!

So, along come some pyjama shorts for Miss Claudia with some cute ric-rac detail.

I wouldn't mind a pair myself...with a bit of extra length, dont think I have the legs for short shorts ;-)

Love them, so cute.

Apron Shirt

Martha and I were browsing some blogs and found an Apron Shirt Tutorial on a blog called Everyday Chaos and thought they would great on little Miss Claudia & Maddilen, so with a little adapting we ended up with these two little tops. Maddilen decided she didn't want to model her shirt as her hair wasn't done. What a princess...don't know where she gets that attitude from???? Surely not me!!

Claudia posed happily for her photograph, hair done and all....her mother is a hairdresser afterall, so of course her hair was done ;-)

Thankyou to Bridget from Everyday Chaos for the shirt tutorial.

Little PJ's

Martha made some summer PJ's for some of Claudias friends for birthday pressies, which is a great idea. The kids have so many parties to go to and getting ideas for presents is getting quite hard. So these dont take Martha too long to whip up, buy a little singlet, add a flower to match, and voila, a unique present for a special friend.

I do believe the set below was for Claudia, because if all the friends have nice new pj's, so must Claudie!

I wonder if Martha takes orders for adult sized pj's???

Pj Pants

I didnt manage any sewing today as I took my youngest daughter Maddi to the movies to see "Up", it was a great movie and highly recommended for some school holiday entertaining. Martha did get some sewing time in though, and whipped up these cute little pyjama pants for her daughter Claudia. The photo is a little blurry...I took it with my iPhone, and I had the shakes.....from a hangover

I tried to get my sewing mojo back this afternoon by playing with some lovely Amy Butler fabrics, but it wasnt to be, I just couldnt decide what to sew with what fabrics, so I watched the footy instead. Boring hey? Maybe tomorrow...or later tonight??
