More Sneek Peeks

Well, as its 11pm, Martha will be tucked up in bed and snoring by now, and I have just finished making her other pressie for her special birthday tomorrow. So I assume I am safe to show a peek of one of her finished presents. I just love these Heather Bailey fabrics, I dont have much of them left now, after making a quilt, (which I dont think I have put a photo of on here yet) and Marthas gifts.

Check out our new labels that arrived the other day, Martha hasn't seen them yet, she will be excited! Can anybody guess what this might be?? I will even give a hint, Martha would use this more than me!

Tomorrow night I will post full pictures of all her presents.

My attempt at a Coin Quilt

My next quilt has started! I am using the range Soiree and have been inspired by Ros at Bloom & Blossom, to do a coin quilt like what I saw on her blog. Using the crisp white fabric with gorgeous bright & colourful fabric has had me interested for a while. I love the work I see on Crazy Mom Quilts, (Bloom also lead me to this site) This lady does alot of quilts with white fabric, something I have never done. I guess I just love colour so much that I have never thought to use boring white fabric! It's funny how now I see white in such a different manner. I must admit, while in Spotlight buying six metres of white fabric, I was feeling a little dorky and boring. Here is a photo of my progress with the lovely colourful fabrics of Soiree. I have cheated a little by using a jelly roll, and sewing five rows together before cutting them into smaller pieces. If there is a short-cut, I will use it! Hoping to have photos of Marthas coin quilt soon to show you all.

Christmas Pressies

I have also been busy sewing some Christmas pressies for family and friends, so unfortunately I can only give you some little sneak peeks, as I am sure some of the recipients might just get on here occaisonally. I have also been shopping for fabric...surprise, surprise...so here is a little shot of one of my recent purchases.

Marthas Cookbook Cover

Martha has been very busy lately, and has made this gorgeous journal cover using Rosalie Quinlans new book "Gift". Martha is using the book to store all of her favourite recipes. I have put a request in to Martha to give me the recipe to her White Choc Cheesecake so I can post it on here, so keep a look out.

Martha also gave me a pic of her latest project, which looks very interesting. She has chosen some really nice fabrics for this project, I have a feeling this project is for her personal use...mmm.

I am heading to Marthas tomorrow for the birthday party of her six year old cherub....can't wait to see the birthday cake!! Will post a photo after the party.

Have a great Friday night everyone, I am about to go and have drinks and nibblies with my three sisters and all of our kiddies. All 10.5 of them! Should be fun!!
