Girls Day In The Country - Nundle 2009

Well gee, the week has flown by so fast, and I haven't had time to post.

Martha & I set off for Nundle early last Friday, and decided we might take a detour through Tamworth to do some shopping. We had a late lunch, bought some new clothes and some alcohol and headed off for Nundle.

We had a nice dinner at Mount Misery Mine, and way too much wine before retiring to the motel for the night. First thing Saturday, we lined up rady for our sewing day with the talented Rosalie Quinlan & Leanne Beasley. Martha & I both did the punch needle project designed by Rosalie for the day. The hall looked great, Kerry Swain from Cottage On the Hill in Nundle did a fantastic job!
Here is a photo of Rosalie & Leanne with all us girls from ClubQuilt Narromine, and some bloggers tucked in behind the rest of us.
Here are Martha & I at the start of the day, looking through our goodie bags.
This is Martha, Vanessa & Jo trying to work out what to do...it does help when you read instructions! And here am I doing my punch needle....I have no idea who snapped this shot...Peg perhaps??

After or big day sewing, Martha & I had a little nanna nap, before going to the Nundle Pub for dinner..and yes more wine! Martha went home early...I wish I did to, as I had the biggest hangover on Sunday! Lucky Martha knew the way home so I didn't have to drive!!

I have left my camera cord at work, so have had to steal some photos from some fellow attendees to GDITC. Thanks Peg!
