Maddilens Cushion

Maddilen finished her stitchery and turned it into a cushion for her Nan as planned. She decided she couldn't be bothered re-doing the dress on the angel in a brighter pink, so left it as it was. It turned out lovely anyway.

Panic set in this afternoon as we realised we were out of Hobby Fill to stuff the cushion, and had to call on daddy to pop into Spotlight for us while on his "boys day out". Impressed as he was to go to the dreaded Spotlight, he did it for his Maddi Moo.

I took this photo on my phone and Maddilen added some effects to make it look special.

Here is a close up of the cushion. Maddilen did all the sewing herself, she even did her first bit of handsewing, (other than the embroidery) when the hole for the cushion stuffing had to be sewn closed. I dont know if she was too impressed with that part?

The cushion was hand delivered to her Nan as soon as the photos were taken, as she was so excited to finally have it finished. Nan & Pop thought it was fantastic & were amazed that Maddi had made it by herself (guidance & pinning from mum of course)

Maddi that is just beautiful. I wish My MADDI would do some sewing/stitiching but she doesn't like it YET. I'm sure Nan was delighted with it. You should be so proud.
