Snapshots of June 15th

Maddi snapped this photo of me unpicking a few loopy stitches on the very last block of my Anna Maria Horner Flannel quilt. Had to be on the last block!
If I wasn't so fussy with the layout of the blocks I would have photos of the finished product....but hmmm, they will be a bit longer. There must be an easy way to get the layout right, with an even amount of colour throughout. No matter how many times I arrange it...I just cant get it right. I'll try again tomorrow...or Thursday..or Friday.

Martha & I started our Quilt-a-long with Crazy Mom Qulits yesterday, we were a week behind as we were a little confused with week 1 instructions. It didn't take us long to catch up....photos of that later...

Snapshots of June 14th

Marthas little cherubs decorated some biscuits for morning tea, and Jack, Marthas 5yr old did the one with the two blue M&M's & the green jelly bean. Stating, "He was sticking his tongue out" How cute is that? Its just what it looks like, so creative I thought.

Also, note the biscuit with no lollies, 3yr old Harley stole those lollies ;-)


PS...they were quite yummy too!

Snapshots of June 13th

Well, I have been a bit slack with this "Snapshots of June" thing already....
Anyway, my sister came over today & dragged me away from the fire to go outside, sit in the sun to eat strawberries and play with our iPhone photo apps where she took this photo of moi. It was such a lovely day, I actually had to peel off a layer as I actually got hot! The fire was still going inside, and outside, the sun was gorgeous. I would never have believed her!



After this, we headed out to Marthas for a cuppa and a little bit more sunshine....however, Martha lives a few kms out of town, so no wind breakers out there like us townies have, so with the little breeze, the sun wasn't feeling quite so warm. The tea & choccy biscuits helped....

Snapshots of June

Here I am running out of things to post about...so I best get sewing. I have a few projects ready to get started and to get finished, but have limited time at the moment.

I have been surfing the blogs this evening and stumbled upon Janelle Winds blog...as I do everyday, nothing new there ;-) Anyway, Janelle has started posting photos everyday of things that make her happy, or make her smile. So, I am going to try and do the same. I can't promise I will get to it everyday.....my history with posting everyday hasn't been great.

But I'll give it a go.

It might just give you an insight into my crazy life and unusual sense of humour.

Hopefully I don't scare you off ;-)

Ok, so I was planning on starting this yesterday, but I had trouble uploading a photo. Here it is finally. This is my 15yr old Grace, who wouldnt let me take her photo without giggling & hiding under an old flannel....this photo is the best of a bad lot...trust me!
