My attempt at a Coin Quilt

My next quilt has started! I am using the range Soiree and have been inspired by Ros at Bloom & Blossom, to do a coin quilt like what I saw on her blog. Using the crisp white fabric with gorgeous bright & colourful fabric has had me interested for a while. I love the work I see on Crazy Mom Quilts, (Bloom also lead me to this site) This lady does alot of quilts with white fabric, something I have never done. I guess I just love colour so much that I have never thought to use boring white fabric! It's funny how now I see white in such a different manner. I must admit, while in Spotlight buying six metres of white fabric, I was feeling a little dorky and boring. Here is a photo of my progress with the lovely colourful fabrics of Soiree. I have cheated a little by using a jelly roll, and sewing five rows together before cutting them into smaller pieces. If there is a short-cut, I will use it! Hoping to have photos of Marthas coin quilt soon to show you all.

I love the fabrics you're using for your coin quilt...

To answer your qu No I'm not going to Nundle this year, unfortunately, I had such a ball last year but with a new born decided to give it a miss this time round... I bet you have the best time...

Take Care

Really looking forward to seeing how this turns out! White does seem boring, but it seems to give such a fresh, clean look. Looks gorgeous so far!
